A puppet stage can be made out of most anything; paper bags, cardboard boxes, styrofoam sheets, sticks and cloth. Workshop participants will design and build their own stages.
Frank Byrne attended Clown Camp at the University of Wisconsin, La Cross, in 1989. As Rosie The Magical Clown, Frank has been clowning for over 29 years, delighting and amazing audiences, performing magic, clowning, stilt walking, puppeteering, and creating complex balloon sculptures. Frank has performed at countless fairs, festivals, circuses, schools, libraries, Renaissance Faires and parties throughout the Carolinas, Virginia, Georgia and Florida. Frank was taught by Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus master clowns. He also traveled to England to study Punch & Judy from two of the Master Professors, before becoming a Punch& Judy Professor himself.
