Rather than bring a puppet show into a school, why not teach students how to make puppets, write and produce a puppet show? Whether artist in residency, or infusing puppets into a set curriculum, this workshop will show you how to intgroduce puppetry as a viable addition to traditional curriculum choices.
San Hasselman has taught on the high school level for the past 34 years. She has taught over 15 different art courses, including Advanced Placement Art History and Puppetry. Over the years, San has mentored students in a variety of capacities including yearbook, art club, ecology club and presently, Puppetry Troupe. She has received the Governor's Recognition as Teacher of the Year in 1988, as well as being the Honors Seminar Recipient at the Rhode Island School of Design in 1986.
