Save money- design your show in ½” scale from paper! It's measure twice, cut once in miniature. I’ll show you how to use scale to plan out your designs and create tiny models of any object. Everyone gets a sample and a new technique to visualize their show- before they can’t fit it into their car.
- Learn to measure objects in scale
- Learn to translate 3 dimensions into a flat object
- Understand how to apply the technique to any style show
Together we'll design a basic puppet stage based on your own personalized measurements. You'll take home the knowledge of how to estimate, plan, and create your own tiny puppet shows! Your modest materials fee covers cardstock paper, a pencil, and any of my patterns you get to keep. I will have scale rulers available for use and purchase.
Good applications for this knowledge:
- Toy Theater Construction
- Touring Companies
- Anyone who wants to travel with their puppets
- Interviews and Presentations where bringing the show is impossible
- Estimating budget needs based on materials
- Testing out new experimental concepts
- School projects
