Broad introduction to stage lighting; covering simple optics, the various typesof standard lighting equipment, the qualities of light and what they can communicate, principles of design and basic "tech" vocabulary.
Rob Hamilton is a designer and director, currently at UNC Chapel Hill in the Department of Communication Studies. Rob has worked as propmaster and puppeteer on the original Off-Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors and has worked as a designer and artist at theaters from New York, to Minneapolis/St. Paul, to Chicago, and San Jose. Rob's skill set includes: "Proven ability at all levels of theatre production for academic and professional companies, specializing in complex productions in inadequate spaces for embarrassing budgets.
