Description:

With the national economic slowdown and emphasis on standardized testing, artists who work in the schools need to present educational content in their performances. This workshop will help the puppeteer integrate curriculum standards, choose a relevant topic, create study guides and evaluation forms, and market the production.

Bio of Workshop Presenter:

Lisa Sturz has been a professional puppeteer for 35 years working in film, television, theatre, and education. She was one of five artists selected for a 3 year Arts and Education Institute with the Asheville Arts Council, Buncombe County Schools, and UNCA. She has received Kennedy Center training through the Blumenthal and has taught numerous residencies throughout the Southeast.
