Share two decades worth of innovation and exploration, based on the Indonesian Wayang Theatre. Beginning with a performance of Red String's THE TINDERBOX, this workshop examines a large array of technical and aesthetic considerations for designers and performers of shadow puppet theatre.

Bio of Workshop Presenter:

Beginning with a Fulbright grant to Indonesia in 1985, Michael Richardson has created over 500 new shadow puppet designs for use in hundreds of his performances in every venue short of funeral homes.
Red String Wayang Theatre is Richardson's current incarnation, pushing the artistic envelope within the traditional wayang format.
