In 1978, Jim Henson and Kermit the Frog cut the ribbon to officially open the Center for Puppetry Arts, fulfilling the dream of puppeteer Vincent Anthony for an international gathering place to explore all aspects of the art of the puppet. Come learn about our 30 year journey in words and pictures before your official Festival visit to the Center on July 18.

Bio of Workshop Presenter:

Alan Louis, M.Ed. has directed the Center for Puppetry Arts' museum and education programming for children and adults since 2000. He taught elementary school for 6 years and worked as a puppeteer for Trotter Brothers Theatricals, Vincent Anthony's Vagabond Marionettes, the Center for Puppetry Arts and the Alliance Children's Theatre Company.
