This will be a workshop for hobbyists to professionals that speaks directly to the many facets of running your own small business. Every business has to have a department for: Sales, Product Development, Publicity, Administration, and Accounting. As a sole proprietor, you are ALL of those departments. What are some effective ways to get yourself out there? Where can you find leads? How do you run a business? What are the basics of sales (the assumptive close, open ended questions, etc.)? How is billing done? What are my goals for my business? Where would I like to be one year from now?

Bio of Workshop Presenter:

Davis Kirby, is a Senior Vice President of a $200 Million dollar leasing company, and in his free time serves as Accounting, Booking, Web Designer, and Publicity for Lee Bryan "That Puppet Guy" and Publicity and Webmaster for the 2009 National Puppetry Festival. He also owns Puppet Guy Shop with Mr. Bryan. Not a stranger to the stage, Davis spent his younger years performing as an singer, actor, and dancer. He has a resume that boasts 5 Broadway shows, 5 National Tours, and numerous Regional Theaters. He has performed in Las Vegas, Monte Carlo, The Eastern and Western Caribbean, throughout Canada, and in all 50 states. He attributes his success to the basic business practices he learned early.
