Description:

This 19th Century "Zarzuela" Spanish Operetta for children, is a comedy about a monarch whose dental difficulties give his kingdom a royal pain. In this story a stubborn, toothache-suffering king learns the value of loving and respecting others in order to be healed. This bilingual production features over 40 life-size puppets, including rod and shadow puppets, singers, musicians, a contemporary music score and is a hit with audiences of all ages.

Company Bio:

SEA is responsible for reviving the tradition of doing Children's Theatre in Spanish in New York City, a tradition that was abandoned for more than 18 years. SEA's home base theater TEATRO SEA @ Los Kabayitos Puppet & Children's Theater, located in New York City, offers a year-round season of professional Puppet and Children's Theater, as well as Art & Puppetry Workshops. Teatro SEA has become a vital component to New York City cultural life.
