Online registration is now available for the 2009 National Puppetry Festival.


Registering online offers several benefits:

  • You can quickly and easily receive festival updates

  • You can be sure your information is accurate - no more misspelled names on badges.

  • You can make changes to your registration information, as often as you like.

  • Don't have a roommate yet? Login and enter his or her name when you do. Change your mind about which workshop you want to attend on Thursday morning? A couple of clicks of your mouse will solve the problem.

  • You can pay by credit card or check through a secure system.

The total participant cost for the National Festival typically includes four components:

1. The Registration Fee, which provides admission to all scheduled festival performances, workshops*, and other events**. The fee schedule is:

  • Current Puppeteers of America Members
    • Early Registration (by January 15, 2009): $365.00

    • Pre-Registration (January 16 through June 7, 2009): $395.00

    • Registration after June 7, if available: $445.00


  • Non-members
    • Registration is $445.00

    (*some workshops may require a small additional fee for materials)
    (**The Puppetry in Education and Therapy seminar is an additional $40)

2. Housing. If you wish to stay on the Georgia Tech campus, we will collect housing information and payment as part on the online registration. Online reservations for campus housing will not be available after June 7, 2009. Please read the lodging information on the Location section of this website.

3. Meals. Two festival meal packages are available: a full meal plan for $130 and a "dinner only" plan for $50. Details are available on the Location page.

4. Extras. These include Georgia Tech parking passes ($30), festival posters, and t-shirts.

All charges include applicable sales taxes.

The Puppeteers of America offers scholarships to assist members in attending the National Puppetry Festival.
Scholarships are available for adults (ages 22 and older), young adults (ages 18 - 21), and youth (ages 12 - 17).
The deadline to submit an application is January 15, 2009. Recipients will be notified in early February.
