Ichthyodyssey (ick-thee-odyssey) is an original tragedy about the cost of the steps fish must take to save a kingdom besieged by murderous beak demons from above. The focal point is the tale of two doomed lovers: Seraphina, the princess who must assume a throne for which she is not prepared, and Phineas, a restless worrier who trades the token of their love for a pair of wings in order to defeat the birds.

The Rough House is a fringey little theater company in Chicago. In it’s young life,  the Rough House has fostered numerous artists and companies by providing rehearsal space and other vital resources to the performance community. It’s goal: revive theater as a popular art form by creating Rough theatrical events that thrill and compel audiences to engage in the performances they attend, and their world at large.  Most recently, the Rough House hosted the sold-out Puppy Tears Festival of Experimental Puppetry at Oracle Theater.

The Rough House was founded by members Shelley Geiszler, Mike Oleon and Max Wirt who have made regular contributions to Redmoon Theater, the Building Stage,  Oracle Theater, Blair Thomas and Co. and have been active supporters and members of the Chicago Poetry and Burlesque scenes.
